National Poetry Competition Winner

The Profession Development Service for Teachers’ National “Write a Poem Competition,” completed their adjudicating last week. We had a few students enter the prestigious competition. We were delighted to learn that our own third year student, Frida Gurn, has been awarded first place in the Junior Cycle category for her poem, “Bones of the Earth.”

This enchanting poem wowed the judges and they decided unanimously to award it first place.

Frida, her parents and Ms Dolan, her English teacher, have been invited to a vitual awards ceremony on the 8th of March. Frida will have the opportunity to read her poem at the event and it will also be published on the PDST Post Primary website as well as printed in the PDST National Poetry Award booklet. Frida will also receive a commemorative plague in acknowledgement of this wonderful achievement.

Parent Teacher Meetings 2021/2022

Fifth Year Parent Teacher Meeting Tuesday 8th March 4.15 – 6.45.

This will be an in-person meeting.
