Mohill School Crest

School News January 12th 2017

Sixth Year Chemistry students accompanied by Ms. Muldowney attended the practical workshops in NUIM. They got to complete a large number of the investigations on the syllabus and were impressed by the whole setting in the university.

Musical Maestros

Two of our students – Shannon Healy and Reema Hamad have had recent success in the music business. Shannon, a fifth year student, auditioned to the Nathan Carter TV show to join Nathan on stage at one of his live concerts. Shannon sent in a video clip of herself playing guitar and singing Rock Me Mama and was selected from many competitors. Reema, a TY student, plays the violin and is part of the adult Kildare County Orchestra performing locally and nationally. We salute both girls and wish them well.

Basketball Playoffs.

Mohill U-19 boys take part in the All Ireland playoffs in Coláiste Iosagáin Galway on Sunday, January 22nd. They play Coláiste Einde Galway and St. Mary’s Belfast. We wish them and their coach – Ms. Hargaden Ward the best of luck.

Transition Years.

This group are engaging with a beauty therapist – Ms. C. Corby, as part of their personal development programme.
