T.Y. Information afternoon.
Parents of third year students interested in T.Y. next  year attended the school for a presentation of the programmes available.  Ms. Hargaden Ward is the T.Y. Coordinator.  At the end the current T.Y. class performed a dance routine to the beat of Michael Jackson’s thriller.  Ms. Flanagan had explored creative dance in an eight week P.E. module.
Second year girls basketball.
This group of feisty girls bowed out after giving a great account of themselves in the All Ireland playoffs in Glenamaddy. Their first match was against the host school which they won well. Next up was Macroom Cork and they lost this one.The  last match was against St. Johnstone  and they won this.  However, Macroom having won all their games progressed to the quarter finals of the second years C  competition.  We congratulate the girls on achieving so much in what was a character building competition.  Ms. Hargaden Ward, coach, was with them every step of the way.  Well done to you all.

We sympathise with student Chloe McGovern and family on the death of her grandfather – Jim McGovern.
We sympathise also with Ms Hanly on the death of her father in law – Mr. Hanifa.
May they rest in peace
