Transition Year
TY students have had a busy week as they had a visit from Syl’s Driving School – they learned the basics of driving at Connacht Gold Mart premises and progressed to the driver theory test.
They then had a First Aid and Defibrillator course and finally they had the Child protection part of the GAA coaching course, delivered by Mr. Gaffey.

Thanks to all who enabled these useful skills and knowledge to be passed to the students. Thanks to Connacht Gold for the use of their parking bay.

Volunteers bag packed in Tesco, Carrick on Shannon for funds for the Autism Unit – €1,044 was raised – thanks to Tesco, those who donated and to the volunteers.
The Ceiliúradh Cainte day in the school raised €1863 for “Headstrong” a group promoting positive mental health in young people. Again thanks to all who organised and donated.
