Abbott Ireland (Longford)
The Fifth Year LCVP class together with Ms. Fitzpatrick visited the plant.  We first encountered two third level students on placement who give a powerpoint presentation on their role in the plant and their college courses.  We then got a tour of the facility led by Mr. Conboy – the plant produces diagnostic solutions for many human maladies.  We visited the warehouse, the water treatment plant and laboratories for testing the solutions.  We were encouraged to ask questions of the employees and we gained valuable experience on the workings of a modern manufacturing facility.
We filled out a questionaire before we left and we all received Abbott branded items.  We express our gratitute to Abbott for the opportunity they afforded us.

Daffodil Day.
The day was marked in the school with a bake sale with students and staff contributing to this noble cause, thanks to all who contributed in any way.
We sympathise with David Campbell on the tragic death of his cousin, Damien Rogan, and also to Dillon Rogan and their family circle.
