Senior Boys Football.

The boys played St. Clare’s Manorhamilton at home during the week and lost by an nine point margin.  Mr. M. Duffy is in charge of this group.  Incidentally many of the group had taken part in the Minor A Championship Final a few days before.
Student V Teacher.
The annual event is a fundraiser for Transition Year. Students nominate a girl and a boy from each year and the teacher team is dependent on fitness tests.
This years student team comprises:-
Conor Quinn, Shaylyn Ward, Adrian Shortt, Lorraine Foy, Niall Keegan, Alejandra Vazquez Adán, Fiachra McGuinness, Blathnaid Duignan, Kaolan Harkin, Dearbhaile Beirne.  The referee is Seamus Sweeney.  Celine Mulligan and Caoimhe Canning operate the score board.
U/19 Boys Basketball.
In a home game against St. Louis Kiltimagh, Mohill won on a scoreline of Mohill CC – 65   –   St. Louis CS  – 25

Spelling Bee.
Ms. Reynolds organised a Spelling Bee competition with her first year English classes in the school library on Thursday, 22nd October for the prestigious title of Mohill Community College Spelling Bee Champions.
The gold medal winning team was:-
Aisling Shanley, Daniel Kaczmarek, Enda McGoldrick, Laura Farrelly, Sarah Boyle.
Winners of the silver medal were:
Maeve Newton, Shaylyn Ward, Rachel McGarry, Bailey David, Erin Morris.
Winners of gold in the Second Category were:-
Adam Galligan, Pat McDonagh, Ronan McNabola, Mark Reynolds.
The Silver medalists were:-
James Abbott, Niall McNabola, Shane Moran, Eoghan Beirne.
Students learned lists of challenging words since the initial week of term and were tested regularly.  The students who achieved the highest scores consistently, represented their class in the Spelling Bee.
Anti Bullying Week.
Students were very active prior to the week with a poster campaign that covered all aspects of bullying, the endeavour was  cross curricular with posters in Irish and German. The Healthy Schools team invited Shane Martin to speak to students on health and wellbeing. Well done to all concerned.
Baby.
We congratulate Ms Dolan and her husband on the birth of their baby daughter.
Bereavements.
We sympathise with Emma Kiernan and her family on the death of her grandfather – John Joe Monaghan and to Ms McGirl on the death of her cousin’s husband – Mr. McGovern.  May they rest in peace.
