Academic Excellence.

We congratulate Eileen Pfeffel Canning on receiving a J. P. McManus award.  She will be presented with the Award in U.L. on November 21st.  This award grants substantial funding towards third level education.
The following students achieved an A in Higher Level Business in the 2015 Junior Cert:-
Molly Keegan, Joe McCaffrey, Roisin McGarry, Owen McLoughlin, Peter O’Neill and Liam Rowley.  They were invited to the Business Studies awards in NUI Galway.  Well done to all.
Senior Girls Basketball.
The girls had a good win in a home game against St. Clare’s, Manorhamilton on a 61 to 18 scoreline. Ms. Guckian is in charge of this group.

Mr. Beirne’s team lost by a single point to Ballymote in a shoot out where the final score was – Mohill CC. 4-13, Ballymote 6-8.

King Lear.
Leaving Cert Higher English students attended a production of the Shakespearian classic in the Helix Theatre in Dublin.  By all accounts it was a very authentic and true to the script production.  Mr. D. Duffy, Ms. Brennan and Ms McGirl accompanied the students.
Bereavements.
We sympathise with Liam, Luke and Ellie Jones and family on the death of their aunt.
We sympathise also with Ms. M. Duffy on the death of her uncle Pat Reilly.  May they rest in peace.
