J. P. McManus Award.

We congratulate Eileen Pfeffel Canning who received a J.P. McManus scholarship at University of Limerick on Saturday week last. The award was presented by A.P. McCoy, Champion Jockey. We wish Eileen every success in her career.

Transition Years.

T Y. students accompanied by Ms. Purcell and Ms. Reynolds attended the cinema in Carrick on Shannon for a screening of the recently released Brooklyn.

U/16 Boys Football.

Mohill Played Coola V.S. away and lost on a scoreline of Mohill 2-10 – Coola 3-10. Mohill had a goal bound shot cleared off the line in injury time. Mr. Beirne is in charge of this team.

U/14 Boys Football.

The boys played Boyle C.S. and lost heavily in the end. A number of boys were missing from the Mohill lineup. Mr. D. Duffy is in charge of this team.

County Matters T.V.

A choir from the school was recorded at Lough Rynn for a County Matters TV programme. They sang “Somewhere only we know” and “I wish it could be Christmas every day”.
Participants were Celine Mulligan, Niamh Donnelly, Roisin Donnelly, Ciara McCrann, Leighann Flynn, Gavin Gordon, Eoin Kenny, Ellen Keegan, Roisin Moran, Eileen Canning, Caoimhe Canning, Luke Jones, Olivia Mulkerrins, Aifric Madden, Shauna Diffley, Laura O’Neill, Rebecca Creamer, Saoirse Kelleher.
Ms. Flanagan was their tutor.
The performance is due to be broadcast on December 19th.

Bereavements.

We sympathise with Claire, Orla and Joseph Bohan and family on the death of their grandmother – Mrs. Kathleen McLoughlin.
Sympathy also to Kirstie McGuinness and family on the death of her grandmother – Mrs. Lizzie Morris.
May they rest in peace.
