Poster Competition
Ms. Colum organised sixty entries from the college for this competition to raise awareness of used chewing gum as litter. The competition was sponsored by Leitrim County Council. Jessica Dobson, Michelle Hackett and Laura O’Neill came first, second and third in the competition. Wiktoria Fangor earned a special prize for the most creative entry.

Examinations
We wish all our State Exam students the best of luck in the weeks ahead and in particular the Leaving Certs as they leave second level education to embark on the next phase of their lives.

Shannonside
The Transition Years broadcast a twenty minute slot on Shannonside radio last week – they gave a great portrayal into life in Mohill CC and an insight into the school life of a TY student. Mary Clare and an assistant recorded the piece a number of weeks ago. Transition Year students had an outing to Zipit in Forest Park during the week.

Horseriding
The Autism class have had weekly visits over six weeks to Moorland Equestrian centre in Drumshanbo. The students enjoyed the experience – thanks to Karen and her team. Ms. Purcell, Ms. Cunningham, Ms. Conway and Ms. Garvey were in support.

Incoming First Years.
Ms. Hanly made a presentation to a well attended meeting of First Year parents on transition to Secondary School. Incoming First Years are invited to the school on Monday July 1st for a day to sample a little Science, German and Home Economics. The experience will help the group to get to know one another and will allow them to have the school to themselves for a day.
