History Tour.

Mr Kehir took his 2A history class to Glasnevin cemetery where they had an excellent tour guide, they then proceeded to Croke Park and visited the GAA museum, and the activity area.  They also got the Sky tour and in fact saw the new Sky TV Sports presenters being photographed on the pitch.

Fifth Years Trip
The Fifth Year students had an outing to “Baysports” Hodson Bay Athlone for a day of water sports.
Transition Years.
They have been busy with an overnight at Lough Allen Centre for their Gaisce awards.  They have completed a two day course on First Aid, CPR and Defibrillator training.

The following were bestowed with awards:-
First Year – Saoirse Fox, Darragh McCrann.
Second Year – Ann Marie Reynolds, Jordan McGuinness.
Third Year – Nessa Kellegher, Mikolaj Sempka.
Transition Year – Katie Mulligan, Gearoid Mulligan
Fifth Year – Eileen Canning, Jack Heslin.
Sixth Year – Caoimhe McGuinness, Darren Keegan, Enda Conway.
Overall Student of the Year – Shannon Boyle.
Best Junior Certificate 2013 – Sean Muldowney
Best Leaving Certificate 2013 – Conall Gallagher

Athletics.
We applaud our All Ireland Qualifiers.
Sibeal Reynolds, who came first in the Junior Long Jump.
Dearbhaile Beirne, who won the Intermediate 2000m walk.
Molly Crossley came second in Senior 80m hurdles and
Keith Beirne who came second in Senior Shot putt.
The All Ireland is in Tullamore on May 31st and we wish them well.
Bereavements.
We sympathise with Laura and Carla Doyle and family on the death of their grandfather – Phil Elderton.
We extend sympathies to Oisin and Aifric Madden and their family on the death of their grandaunt – Margaret Mattison.
Condolences also to Colm McGovern and family on the death of his cousin – Brian Collum.
