Girls basketball.

First and second years played Boyle C.S. before midterm and emerged winners in both games, they have added to this since when playing St Attractas of Tubbercurry, their scores against St Attractas  were  26–12 for first years and 32–8 for second years. The games were away and Ms P McGovern was their mentor. Well done to all.
Junior girls football.
The girls played Carraroe in  wet and windy conditions at the centre of excellence in Ballyhaunis. They found the conditions difficult and Carraroe were that bit stronger and in the end they lost out despite playing well. Ms Flanagan is in charge of this team.
LCVP.
The Leaving Cert LCVP cohort had their video interview conducted by an external interviewer. This forms part of their portfolio for Leaving Cert.
Driving School for TY
Transition Years had a day training with Syl’s driving school.They had a workshop on road safety, preparation for the theory test and got driving experience in a dual control car.They can also get their first lesson free with the driving school.
They are about to begin their intergenerational project in Arus Carolan. They will visit on a weekly basis and interact  with the residents.The judging for their Enterprise projects is at the end of the week.
Athletes all.
We applaud Eoin Gaffey who received Athletics Ireland Emerald Crystal Leitrim Star Award in the Tullamore Court Hotel recently for his success in racewalking.
Eoin has since won silver in the U-17 walk in the Connacht Indoors in Athlone.
Sibeal Reynolds won the U-19  60m and the long jump and came second in the 200m the same day in Athlone also.Well done to you both.

We congratulate Mr Nolan and his wife on the birth of their baby Arthur recently.
Bereavements.
We sympathise with Clare, Orla, Joseph and Sean Bohan and family on the death of their grandfather John Charles Bohan and also to Louise Cafferty who is his grand niece. We offer sympathy to Corey McCrann and family on the passing of his grandfather Paddy McCrann. We offer condolence to Mr Nolan and family on the passing of his uncle Tommy Kellegher. May they rest in peace.
