Second Year students visited Dublin Zoo as part of their CSPE project for Junior Cert. They focused on endangered species and on the snow leopard in particular. The idea of stewardship of the environment and its inhabitants is a primary tenet of CSPE. The day commenced with a workshop on the subject, followed by a guided tour of the endangered species in the zoo. The stop off was at Liffey Valley on the way home. Ms. Dolan, Ms. Colum, Mr. Cummins, Ms. Conway and Ms. Kilrane accompanied the students..

Senior Boys Basketball.
Mohill competed in the playoffs for a place in the all Ireland quarter finals and were so close to qualifying..Two games had to be won to qualify and Mohill played their first game against local school Coláiste Einde. The match was level with twenty seconds to go but was lost by a basket on 46-44 scoreline. They played and beat St. Mary’s Belfast winning by nine with a score of 51-42. The venue was in Coláiste Iognáid, Galway. It was a case of so near and yet so far for this bunch of students, who have won so many titles over their time in the school. Ms. Hargaden Ward was with them every step of the way. She wishes to thank them for their efforts over this time and acknowledges the support of the Mulligan, Reynolds and McGuinness families on the day.
