Digital Skills for Citizens Project

Three Transition Year students – Daithi, Scot and Shane – have recently availed of this training which gives them a QQ Level 6 Train the Trainer Qualification.  In return, these students then deliver the Digital Skills for Citizens Course to others.  The objective of the Digital Skills for Citizens Project is ‘to provide citizens who have never used the internet with the confidence, motivation and skills to reap the benefits of participating in today’s digital world’.

Roscommon Leader Partnership which is co-ordinating the delivery of the training for students has also delivered a module on ‘Agfood’.  Our Trainers are currently planning their training timetable which will involve training their peers as well as up-skilling Agricultural Science students in 5th and 6th Year.

Our thanks to Roscommon Leader Partnership for offering us this opportunity, and in particular to Ms. Mary Guihen who is our school contact.
